Analytics and custom domain

Hey Outverse team - we would like to adopt Outverse for changelog and community however we need 2 things: deployment under custom domain (even subdirectory if possible) and analytics in terms of visits and clicks. I can just put a Plausible.js config into the website but don't see that option under the product

Quick question: can community members copy paste text from docs? Or are there some ways to protect your community resources and content from plagiarism?

Just the headline

Hi is there a simple way to export Notion pages into Outverse documents?

Most of my writing is on Notion and I'd like to copy paste but emojis disappear.

I feel Outverse was coded in a similar style to Notion so wondering if there is a specific way to content?

Thanks for building this platform :)

How can I as admin choose default notification settings for the members I invite?

The default notification setting is to get an email notification every time somebody has replied to a thread that the member has also replied to. I know that you turn that off for yourself, but the members we are going to invite to our community are not very tech savvy so I would like to choose the most convenient notification settings for them as default. How do I do that?

Missing overview of incomplete profiles

"Manage members" showed users that hadn't completed their profile together with the rest. That made it easy for us to reach out to them. Now it seems like only the complete profiles are visible, and that the incomplete profiles are nowhere to be found. Are they visible some other place?

How to update community members to team or admin role?

We're trying to update an existing member to a team role, but sending out invites from the Team settings page doesn't help. Following the invites they are still only members.

Also removing the member and sending out invitations to the team seems to just restore them as members.

Is there some other way of upgrading members to team/admin role?

We are struggling with setting up the slack integration - something you can help out with?

After clicking allow we get the blue screen. We are logged in with the Slack Admin user and the Outverse Admin user. Not sure whether it is a bug or a user error here. Any thoughts? :)

Pricing

Hello, what will the amounts be when it becomes paid? I'm afraid to use it and regret it later.

Webhooks + Google Drive

Hey, guys! I have no idea how webhooks work (even after reading the document about it) haha

What I wanna know is whether it is possible to somehow link Google Drive/Docs functionalities to be used and shared within the platform. It would be for specific kinds of posts or replys that need more precision on the interaction and on the writing. The way I see now is to just share a link to Google Drive. Does anyone have an idea?

Thanks!

Video hangout?

Hi! What's the idea behind the video hangout space? how can you imagine people using it? I'm intrigued but also not sure how it's different than scheduling a session on the calendar --- what was your vision for it?

Is Outverse ready?

Considering going all in and inviting several thousand of our members from our community (which is very ad hoc, email list + live events and webinars) into Outverse.

I know it's still in Beta. Would you recommend it for "production" use? Is it ready? Or likely to break or?

Personally, it feels ready - just curious on other's thoughts.

Also, at some point you will want to have pricing (and so you should!) is there any indication as to pricing structures and how founding members would be "grandfathered" into a paid model?

Atypical uses: play-by-post and text-based RPGs

A lot of my online social space use is oriented towards tabletop RPGs, but one thing that I would love in a tool would be a good facility for playing TTRPGs online (really more "real-time text" than PBP, for my tastes).

The last best tool for this was Google Wave if you believe it, back in the day. Part of what was great was that each person had their own editable bubble, but you could see real-time that others were writing. Of course, Wave went away, and strictly chat-oriented tools have just never been quite as good.

So, the question: have folks tried playing any RPGs here? How's it worked out for them? I love the idea of like, a channel for a game, an OP thread for a session, and then just back-and-forth in that session. Are there dice bots we could use? Any other sorts of integrations that could make things niftier?

Thanks! Thoughts and experiences welcome!

Seeking Thoughts on Notifications

One of the Outverse missions is to reduce notification overload (I totally get this....notifications save me from forgetting but haunt me when I have not forgotten!). So if you want to get notification of a reply to your thread you have to opt in (click the bell). I think power users can cope with that but casual forum users will miss that point, and not be notified when they get a reply. I see that as a problem for getting new people back to my forum.....all they will get is silence unless they think to revisit and see if they have any replies (and hey, I agree quite a few will, but lots won't).

I am just throwing this out there to see what other users think about this and have my own thinking on this challenged.

I can't help but think if you are going to go with 'opt in' you need some prompt to really make it clear that if you post a thred and want notification of replies you need to click the bell. Maybe something next to the 'Create Thread' button that either reminds you or better still could the bell be there next to the button or something like that to prompt/inform/remind?

A few questions

A few quick questions:

- Is there a "feed" type view of posts from selected channels?
- How is mobile/push notification support so far?
